§ 12-29. Same—minimum required depth.

  • (a)

    Minimum required depths of charges detonated in holes below the bottom or bed of the inland waters and in the Gulf of Mexico within the gulfward boundary of the State of Louisiana inside the parish as shown by Acts 32 and 33 of 1954, shall be as follows:

    Size of charge Feet below
    the bottom
    5 pounds or less ..... 20
    Up to 20 pounds ..... 40
    Up to 30 pounds ..... 50
    Up to 40 pounds ..... 60
    Up to 50 pounds ..... 70

     

    (b)

    No part of the charge shall be above the minimum required depth.

    (c)

    These minimum required depths shall not apply to trial charges and charges for determining condition of the weathering layer; provided that such charges are not over five (5) pounds and not fired more often than absolutely necessary.
