§ 13-3. Protection of certain well.
(a)
There is hereby prohibited the injection of waste material, salt water and/or other foreign matter of every kind and description into the subsurface strata of that particular salt water sand occuring between the depth of one thousand twenty (1,020) feet and one thousand sixty-five (1,065) feet in the Plaquemines Parish P-1 well (electric log measurements) within a radius of twenty-five (25) miles from the location of said well in the vicinity of Empire, Louisiana, which said well is more particularly located as follows:
Louisiana State Coordinates X = 2,544,865 South Zone Y = 263,215 Location: 1220′ SE of NEC along SE line, Section 1, thence 2260′ SW at right angles—Section 1, 20S-28E
(b)
Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this section shall be fined not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00), or imprisoned in the parish jail for not more than thirty (30) days or both fined and imprisoned at the discretion of the court.
