§ 15-10. Prohibition on the operation of heavy trucks, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment on certain streets and roads.

(a)

All persons, firms or corporations are prohibited from driving or operating heavy trucks having a gross weight in excess of two (2) tons, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment on the following streets except as may be necessary for emergencies, maintenance or repair work on the streets, furniture moving or construction work. Vehicular traffic is limited to passenger vehicles, light trucks (having a gross weight of less than two (2) tons) and motorcycles.

(b)

Persons, firms or corporations violating the provisions of this section shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) or imprisoned for not more than thirty (30) days, or both at the discretion of the court.
