§ 15-2. Load limits.

(a)

A load limit of seven (7) tons is hereby fixed for traffic over the Belle Chasse-Scarsdale Ferry Approaches and a load limit of five (5) tons is hereby fixed for traffic over the approaches of the Pointe-a-la-Hache Ferry.

(b)

All persons are prohibited from operating any trucks or other vehicles carrying more than a total weight of seven (7) tons over the Belle Chasse-Scarsdale Ferry Ramps and approaches. All persons are prohibited from carrying more than five (5) tons over the Pointe-a-la-Hache Ferry and approaches.

(c)

Any persons violating any provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or sentenced to a term of thirty (30) days in the parish jail, or both fined and imprisoned at the discretion of the court.
