§ 17-12. Damaging, destroying or defacing levees.

(a)

It is prohibited for any person to destroy deface or in any way damage or interfere with the integrity of levees located in Plaquemines Parish, including the Mississippi River Levee and the Back Levees.

(c)

Any person found in violation of the provisions of this section by a court of competent jurisdiction shall be fined not more than one thousand five hundred ($1,500.00) dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty (30) days in the parish jail or both fined and imprisoned at the discretion of the court.
