§ 17-69. Designation of special-event nights.

  • The council may, upon the request of the authorities of the parochial or public school of the parish or officers of social or fraternal organizations, designate certain nights as special-event nights at such times as said schools or fraternal or social organizations shall be engaged in athletic, musical, dramatic, or social activities for the benefit or entertainment of the children of the parish. The provisions of section 17-66 or 17-67 of this article shall not apply to any student under the age of seventeen (17) years or to his parent, guardian, or other adult having the care and custody of such minor who is lawfully going to, attending or returning from such duly designated special-event night.
