The parish development board may appoint a director who may be a member of the planning
board who shall serve at its pleasure. The director shall be the executive officer
of the board and shall be responsible for the supervision of the staff. The board
may, subject to the provisions of the Home Rule Charter, use such parish government
employees and may contract with planning experts, engineers, architects and other
consultants for such services as the board may require, all subject to the approval
of the parish council.
