§ 19-90. Maintenance.

(a)

The permittee shall be responsible for and shall ensure the proper maintenance of the pipeline and ramp and appurtenances to prevent unnecessary deterioration of same and to prevent such structures and appurtenances from becoming a nuisance or a hazard to the general health, safety and welfare of the general public.

(b)

The landowner and permittee shall also take steps necessary to prevent the structures and appurtenances from hindering in any manner the flow of drainage water in the drainage canal and levees.

(c)

The parish engineer and the superintendents of levees and drainage shall inspect or cause to be inspected periodically all such structures and appurtenances governed by this article to ensure that the same are maintained, constructed, altered or removed pursuant to the provisions of this article.
