§ 1-4. Effect of repeal of ordinances.

Latest version.

No ordinance shall be revived by reference to its title, but in such cases the ordinance revived shall be re-enacted and published as required by law. The repeal of a repealing ordinance shall not revive the first ordinance.

The repeal of an ordinance shall not affect any punishment or penalty incurred before the repeal took effect, or any suit, prosecution or proceeding pending at the time of the repeal, for an offense committed under the ordinance repealed.
