If a person proposed for appointment to a parish board, commission, or committee has
more than one residence, then intention is the determinative factor in ascertaining
the location of such person's domicile. Such factors taken into consideration may
include: where a person sleeps, takes meals, has established the household and surrounds
himself with immediate family and the comforts of domestic life, where the person
is registered to vote, where his/her motor vehicles are registered, where he/she maintains
bank accounts and receives mail, where he transacts business affairs, where he/she
leases and owns property, and where such person has a homestead exemption. The same
factors and assessment shall be used where the residency or domicile of a person serving
on a parish commission, committee or board is challenged.
