§ 5-19. Owner's right to redeem when impounded.

  • The owner of livestock taken pursuant to this article shall have the right to secure his livestock upon the payment to the pound keeper taking up the livestock a fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each head of livestock taken. Thereafter, the fees shall be set at one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for each additional head of livestock taken. The owner shall also pay to the person taking and impounding such livestock the cost of feeding and caring for such livestock at the rate of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day for each animal of the species of horses, mule, ass, or cattle, and fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day for each animal of the species of swine, sheep or goat.
