The owner of a dog, and any other person violating the provisions of this article,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction for such offense, before
any court of competent jurisdiction of the parish, shall be fined not more than one-hundred
dollars ($100.00) and, in default of payment of such fine, condemned to imprisonment
in the parish prison for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days, or both fine and imprisonment
in the discretion of the court.
