§ 6-40. Non-termination by sale, lease or transfer of a boat.

The boat slip lease shall not terminate upon sale, lease, or transfer of any vessel to another owner. The boat slip lessee shall be liable for all rents under the lease until written notice of cancellation of the lease by the lessee and a copy of the sale, lease or transfer is received by the boat harbor office located at the Braithwaite Building. The new owner or transferee must file an application for a boat slip lease within forty-eight (48) hours of the date of transfer. The application will be denied if the new owner/titleholder or boat lessee has outstanding fees, interest, penalties or attorney's fees on record with the boat harbor office.
