§ 6-304. Duties of board.

The Board shall have the following duties and functions:
(1)

Work toward development of a spirit of cooperation between sports and commercial fishermen;

(2)

Advise the parish administration and the council relative to the seafood industry; recommending policies affecting marine fisheries, proposed legislation, increasing seafood production, marketing and processing.

The board shall select a chairman and vice-chairman and conduct its meetings according to rules and regulations adopted by the board. The board shall, at a minimum, meet quarterly.
