§ 7-61. Registration fees for licenses.

  • (a)

    Before a license is issued to any applicant the applicant shall pay to the parish department of permits a registration fee in such amount as is herein specified for class of license to be granted:

    (1)

    For a Class A electrical contractor's license ..... $200.00

    (2)

    For a Class B maintenance electrician's license ..... 125.00

    All fees are due within thirty (30) days of the beginning of the year; any payment received after January 30 shall be refused unless accompanied by a penalty payment of thirty dollars ($30.00).

    (b)

    The following fees for yearly renewal of licenses are hereby established:

    (a)

    The yearly renewal fee for Class A licenses shall be fifty dollars ($50.00).

    (b)

    The yearly renewal fee for Class B licenses shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

    All renewal fees are due within thirty (30) days of the beginning of the year; any payment received after January 30 shall be refused unless accompanied by a penalty payment of thirty dollars ($30.00).

    There is hereby established a revival fee, in the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00), a one-time fee, in addition to the specified renewal fee, on all persons failing to apply for license renewal within the current year following expiration of license. All renewals and/or revival fees must be paid prior to filing of any jobs.
