§ 8-17. Duties of departments.

The departments of homeland security and emergency management shall prepare for, coordinate, and carry out, all emergency measures other than military, necessary to minimize and repair injury and damage resulting from disasters caused by enemy attacks or other hostile action, or by fire, flood, hurricane, earthquake, or other natural causes in accordance with provisions of section 2-15.13 and section 2-228 and LA. R.S. 29:727 et seq.
