Article V. CURFEW FOR MINORS UNDER SEVENTEEN |
§ 17-70. Penalty.
(a)
Any minor violating the provisions of section 17-66 hereof shall be dealt with in accordance with the Louisiana Code of Juvenile Procedure, and shall be punished as follows:
(1)
For a first offense, shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days.
(2)
For a second offense, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) or imprisoned not more than sixty (60) days.
(3)
For third and subsequent offenses, shall be fined not more than two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than ninety (90) days.
(b)
Any parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of a minor found guilty of violating section 17-67 hereof shall be punished as follows:
(1)
For a first offense, shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days.
(2)
For a second offense, shall be fined not more than two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than sixty (60) days.
(3)
For third and subsequent offense, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than one hundred and eighty (180) days.
(c)
Any person, firm or corporation operating or in charge of any place of amusement, entertainment or refreshment in the unincorporated areas of the parish who shall be found guilty of violating section 17-68 of this article, upon conviction shall be punished as follows:
(1)
For a first offense, shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days.
(2)
For a second offense, shall be fined not more than two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than sixty (60) days.
(3)
For third and subsequent offenses, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than one hundred and eighty (180) days.
(d)
All fines and imprisonment to be imposed within the discretion of the court.
