§ 17-109. Sale of firearms.

(a)

Any pawnshop owner, gun shop owner, or any holder of a federal firearms license or employee thereof is to call the parish sheriff's department immediately when an individual enters the establishment attempting to sell firearms.

(b)

Violation of this section shall be dealt with under the provisions of section 17-108 of this article. A fine in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) and/or imprisonment not exceeding sixty (60) days shall be imposed for each violation of this section.
