§ 19-35. Decorative street light standards.

When approved by the director of operations and the director of public service, a person, firm or corporation may install decorative street light standards, which do not comply with the street light standards of section 19-30, under the following conditions:

(1)

All components, post, base and luminaries shall be domestically manufactured of one hundred (100) percent aluminum with a twelve (12) foot mounting height for all luminaries.

(2)

Black shall be the standard color for all decorative street standards.

(3)

There shall be one standard installed at each intersection and spacing shall not exceed two hundred (200) feet and not less than one hundred fifty (150) feet.

(4)

Product must be tested and certified for wind velocity of one hundred twenty (120) miles per hour.

(5)

Product must be warranted against defects in material and workmanship for three (3) years.
