§ 2-34.1. Scope of position control system; exceptions.

For the purpose of administering all policies and procedures in this division, the position control system (P.C.S.) is comprised of all positions, whether vacant or filled, governed by the council, and the same may be amended from time to time by the council. All vacancies and filled positions for which pay is administered by the council shall be included in the position control system except:

(1)

Traffic officers and sheriff's office radio operators,

(2)

Indigent defender's office,

(3)

Twenty-Fifth Judicial District Court,

(4)

District attorney's office for the Twenty-Fifth Judicial District,

(5)

Assessor's office,

(6)

Clerk of court,

(7)

Food stamp program, weatherization program, and CETA program,

(8)

The cooperative extension service,

(9)

City and ward courts,

(10)

The Plaquemines Port, Harbor and Terminal District,

(11)

Commissioners and the council office staff of individual commissioners,

(12)

Bus drivers,

(13)

Substitute bus drivers,

(14)

Bus aides,

(15)

Registrar of voters,

(16)

Coroner investigator,

(17)

Summer youth employment programs in recreation-related jobs, and

(18)

All supervisors and employees within said government agencies and all employees whose pay is funded by grants.
