§ 7-29. Special requirements.
(a)
The environmental advisory committee members, as well as the building official, shall satisfy themselves that the conditions relating to the traditional values and the quality of life in the parish, along with the economic and governmental factors in the parish, have been met before recommending approval for any industrial use. Pursuant to this section, an applicant shall be required to furnish answers to the industrial questionnaire that accompanied the application for a building permit and such questionnaire shall be forwarded by the building official to the committee members. This questionnaire shall include but not be limited to the following factors:
(1)
Project location.
(2)
Project description.
(3)
Natural resources.
(4)
Biological impact.
(5)
Social impact.
(6)
Economic impact.
(7)
Public utilities.
(8)
Transportation.
(9)
Other factors affecting the health, safety, and welfare of the area, etc.
(10)
Performance standards (see section VI.O of the zoning ordinance).
(b)
The environmental advisory committee members, as well as the building official, shall further satisfy themselves that the uses proposed for any industrial district which they are recommending shall be compatible with the adjacent and nearby uses of land and that they are consistent with the intent and purposes of this division to permit the public health, safety and general welfare.
