§ 7-100. Board of examiners.

  • (a)

    The Plaquemines Parish Plumber's Board of Examiners, hereinafter referred to as the board of examiners is hereby created and shall consist of the plumbing inspector appointed under authority of the parish council and two (2) qualified licensed plumbers who are residents of the parish.

    (b)

    The board shall adopt tests of qualification to be possessed by any person engaged in doing actual plumbing installations or plumbing work of any character in the parish, and see that any person engaged in doing plumbing work in this parish shall possess a plumber's license or a renewal thereof, issued by the board.

    (c)

    The board shall make such rules and regulations in furtherance of the purposes of this article and not inconsistent with the specific provisions of this article, for the installation, repair, or alteration of air-conditioning systems, water treatment equipment, and such other water operated devices or connections as it may deem necessary to properly protect the water supply system.
