§ 7-97. Standards.

  • All building, plumbing and sanitary installation shall be in strict conformity with the provisions of Chapter X, entitled "Sewerage and Waste Disposal Refuse—Garbage-Rubbish-Ashes," and Chapter X-A, entitled "Plumbing" of the Sanitary Code, State of Louisiana, as amended, prepared and promulgated by the Louisiana State Board of Health in accordance with R.S. 40:11 save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended and the provisions of this article, the laws of the state, the rules and regulations issued under authority of state law, and shall be in conformity with approved standards of construction for the health and safety of life and property. In every case where no specific type or class of material, or no specific standard of construction is prescribed by state law, regulations issued pursuant to it or this article, conformity with the regulations laid down in NFPA No. 54, National Fuel Gas Code, 1974, NFPA No. 90A Air Conditioning and B Ventilation Systems, 1974, and NFPA No. 90B, Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning Systems, 1974 shall be prima facie evidence of conformity with approved standards of construction for health and safety to life and property.
