§ 22-19. Tampering with hydrants.

No person, other than an employee of the parish water department or a representative of a legally constituted fire department or a person bearing a permit from a properly authorized agent of the council, shall tamper with, mutilate, destroy or attempt to tamper with, mutilate, or destroy any fire hydrant or any part thereof or cause same to be done. Any damage caused by such person will be billed to that person for payment at the then current cost to repair the damage.
